Cecile Margaret Levesque Allen, 84, of Milton, Ga., peacefully departed this life on Weds. November 23, 2016 in Cumming, Ga.

Cecile was born on Aug. 26, 1932 in Coventry, R.I. - one of nine children born to Mr. and Mrs. J. Wilfred Levesque. After graduating from Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I., Cecile began her career in retail at G. Fox & Co. Cecile Margaret Levesque Allen, 84, of Milton, Ga., peacefully departed this life on Weds. November 23, 2016 in Cumming, Ga.

Cecile was born on Aug. 26, 1932 in Coventry, R.I. - one of nine children born to Mr. and Mrs. J. Wilfred Levesque. After graduating from Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I., Cecile began her career in retail at G. Fox & Co. She continued her career at Neiman Marcus in Atlanta, Ga. after marrying Atlanta native Daniel Reid Allen, Sr. on Aug. 28, 1954. Cecile and Dan made their home in Sandy Springs, Ga., where they raised their three children, and moved to Alpharetta, Ga., upon retiring. Cecile was an active member of the Milton/Alpharetta community and a parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

Cecile is survived by her daughter, Christine Allen Bentley of Roswell, Ga.; her son, Martin Allen (Mary Jude) of Milton, Ga.; granddaughter Sierra Nicholson (Ryan Hull) of Atlanta, Ga.; granddaughter Mary Westney Allen of Atlanta, Ga.; granddaughter Emily Allen of Atlanta, Ga.; granddaughter Danny Allen of Atlanta, Ga.; and grandson Maxwell Bentley of Cumming, Ga. She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Reid Allen, Sr. (Apr. 19, 1997), and her son, Daniel Reid Allen, Jr. (Aug. 02, 2011).

Cecile's life will be celebrated on Thurs. Dec. 1, 2016 at 10:00am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Alpharetta, Ga. The family will receive friends and family at a reception immediately following the mass. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: American Cancer Society, P.O. The family is grateful to the many friends, neighbors, and loved ones who have cared for and supported Cecile and wish to especially thank the residents of The Orchards at Windward.
